Didache (Chapter 8)
Three times a day you shall pray thus.
Didache 8
But do not let your fasts be with the hypocrites. For they fast on the second and fifth days of the week. But you shall fast on the fourth day and on the day of preparation.
And you shall not pray like the hypocrites, but as the Lord commanded in His Gospel: “Thus you shall pray, ‘Our Father in heaven, may Your name be hallowed, may Your kingdom come, may Your will be done also upon earth as it is in heaven. Give us today the bread that is necessary, and forgive us our debt, as we also forgive our debtors, and do not lead us into temptation, but rescue us from the evil one, for Yours is the power and the glory into the ages.’” Three times a day you shall pray thus.
