Didache (Chapter 10)
Let grace come, and let this world pass away.
Didache 10
And after you are satisfied, you shall give thanks thus: “We thank You, O holy Father, for Your holy name, which You have made to dwell in our hearts, and for the knowledge and faith and immortality that You have made known to us through Jesus, Your servant. To You be glory into the ages. You, O almighty master, have created all things for the sake of Your name. Food and drink You have given us men for enjoyment, so that they might give thanks to You, and You have freely given us spiritual food and drink and eternal life through Your servant. Above all, we thank You because You are powerful. To You be glory into the ages. Remember, O Lord, Your Church, to rescue her from all wickedness and to perfect her in Your love, and gather her from the four winds, the one whom You have sanctified, into Your kingdom, which You have prepared for her, for to You belong power and glory into the ages. Let grace come, and let this world pass away. Hosanna to the God of David. If anyone is holy, let him come. If anyone is not, let him repent. Maranatha! Amen.” Allow the prophets to give thanks as much as they wish.
